Huatulco is located in the southern Mexico state of Oaxaca. Central to the area is the town of La Crucecita, a popular cruise ship stop. The weather in Huatulco is thoroughly enjoyed — especially by “northerners”! The Huatulco area is well known for its 36 pristine beaches, and 9 bays, which provide opportunities for fun including fishing, snorkeling and scuba. The Bahias de Huatulco (Bays of Huatulco) consist of a series of nine sheltered bays.     We had never been to Mexico and it was spring break. Our travel agent suggested this place for our family with two adults and a 20 and 18 year old. We had a blast. Bring Pecos because that is a lot easier to spend then USD, they are very picky about USD. Every meal we were able to find something to our liking. The Mexican fiesta was a really cool experience.

    We enjoyed every aspect of our stay: the quiet, comfy, well appointed room, the gracious staff throughout, fun entertainment including Quattro Viedra celebration, the delicious food whether buffet or a la carte. Highlights: the amazing Mezcalaria! Irelanda and Javier treated us to fantastic mezcal experiences including mezcal production education & cocktail making lessons.

    I loved the rooms, pools and beach. The restaurants were excellent, too. It's a nice place to go on vacations with family. The staff was very kind and supporting, specially with my parents, because they are elderly.
